Maple Holistics Argan Shampoo and Argan Conditioner

Hey hey! So, I'm a big fan of sulfate-free, natural shampoos and conditioners as I like to know what's going down the shower drain is relatively environmentally-friendly, plus I like using sulfate-free shampoos as sulfates can be harsh on colour-treated hair. I was recently introduced to a new-to-me brand, Maple Holistics, which sells natural and therapeutic hair care, bath and body, and skincare products. Read on to see what I think of their Argan Shampoo and Conditioner!

Maple Holistics' Argan Shampoo*  ($12 USD, 236ml/8oz) contains six beneficial oils such as jojoba and (of course) argan, as well as botanical keratin. It's also free of harsh ingredients, sulfates, and parabens; as well as cruelty-free. The shampoo's consistency is milky and not too runny or thick, and has a light honey-vanilla scent. I really enjoyed it! Sometimes I find sulfate-free shampoos don't clean my scalp as much as I like, causing my hair to become greasy within less than a day (I usually wash my hair every couple of days). This shampoo keeps it clean for over a day, sometimes longer, depending on the heat/humidity, which is pretty good for me.

Now, Maple Holistics, going to their "holistics" name, claims the shampoo has therapeutic benefits for the scalp as well. I'm not really sure if I have benefited one way or the other, as my scalp is fairly normal to begin with. I can say that the shampoo has irritated it or caused any buildup, and with these good (natural) ingredients, I would recommend this shampoo to those who experience irritation from commercial shampoos.

The Argan Conditioner($24.77 USD, currently on sale for $7.95 USD, 236ml/8oz) also contains a cocktail of beneficial ingredients such as shea butter, sea buckthorn, argan, and botanical keratin. Again, it is also free of sulfates, parabens, or harsh ingredients; also it is cruelty-free and free of fragrances. I've only tried a few natural conditioners and usually go back to ones from brands like Pantene, as I find the natural ones I've tried don't leave my hair as soft or help with detangling as much as I would like. Not so with this! I usually use a lot of conditioner, but with Maple Holistics' I need much less. It detangles well (and I tend to get some crazy tangles), and leaves my hair soft and shiny. I really like it and I'm glad I've found a natural conditioner that works really well for me! It has no scent and a consistency that isn't too thick or heavy.

Again, as for the holistic benefits, well, my hair feels great after using this! I love that I don't have to use as much product as I usually do, and that the ingredients are earth-friendly and good for my hair. I hope this conditioner stays at the reasonable price of $8 for a while, as I definitely want to buy more. :)

Something that I really like about the two products' packaging is that their tops are sealed, to prevent tampering and/or leaking during shipping.

I'm really happy with both of these products! Have you tried anything from Maple Holistics before? What's your favourite natural shampoo/conditioner?
