make up for ever tease me lip set in innocent

Ooh. So, due to the Great Blogging Burnout of 2015, I really missed the boat on blogging about the MAKE UP FOR EVER Tease Me Lip Set in Innocent*, released a few months ago as MUFE's tie-in with the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Note to self: limited edition at Sephora generally, definitely means limited. Anyhow, I dislike blogging about LE sets you can't get anymore, but you can still buy the individual products (save for the gloss -- more on that in a bit)! And they're MUFE, so you know they're good.

First up is the Aqua Lip Pencil in 3C ($23 CAD, 0.04 oz), a medium rosy brown. This lip pencil is waterproof, creamy, and applies smoothly. I find it a bit drying but most lip pencils are for me. It's meant to be waterproof, and it didn't budge on my lips except when I ate oily/greasy foods. I don't think this shade really fits my skintone, but it's a great lip pencil overall if you want something high quality and long-lasting.

Next up, la crème de la crème of liquid lipsticks, Aqua Rouge in 3 ($29, 2 x 0.08 oz) is a rosy nude with a clear lip gloss on the other end. The liquid lipstick has a rather strong perfume-y scent, which dissipates after a few minutes. It has a lovely texture -- smooth and not drippy at all. The lipstick dries to a matte finish, and the clear lip gloss adds a nice sheen. The lipstick can be worn by itself but it can be drying (though I don't find it too bad), so the gloss really helps.

As for staying power, I can get around 6-7 hours with minimal eating/drinking. This is really good for me as most lipsticks last 2-3 hours, max. I know some people get much longer wear time out of the Aqua Rouges, so it could just be my body's chemistry. I still find the wear time pretty good, so I know this would be perfect for an event so long as I hold on to it for touch-ups if I'm eating! Oh, and you will need to use some elbow grease (i.e. oil-based remover) to get this off afterwards!

Finally, the (sadly) unavailable Lab Shine Lip Gloss in D16 (originally $22, 0.09 oz). I believe the Lab Shine series has been replaced by the new Plexi-Glosses, meaning you might be able to the find the Lab Shines discounted at Sephora, if they didn't take them off the shelves.

The "D" in D16 means diamond, and that's an accurate statement, because this sheer beige shade is spaaaaarkly! It has a light, fruity scent and brush applicator. It looks gorgeous on top of lipstick -- it really adds lots of dimension, shine, and obviously sparkle. It lasts about 3-4 hours on my lips (through drinking and light eating).
