Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review, Photos

Everyone rejoice for the purveyor of affordable, quality brushes, Real Techniques, has released an equally affordable, quality dupe of the coveted Beautyblender sponge.

Real Techniques' version, the Miracle Complexion Sponge*, retails for $9.99 CAD, and has three sides for precision blending. The rounded sides blend large areas of the face, the tip is for covering blemishes and imperfections, and the flat side is for blending in the contours of the eyes and nose.

I'm loving this sponge! I've never actually tried the Beautyblender ($26 CAD on one sponge is just too much for me), but I don't really feel I need to after trying the Miracle Complexion Sponge.

The sponge is soft, easy to hold, and really great at blending. I've been using it with BB cream and liquid concealer, and I really love the finish it gives versus just using my fingers. I've been using the sponge dry, but you can add water to it (it will expand and then you wring out the excess) -- I think most people prefer using it that way, actually!

You just need to use your typical brush cleaner to clean this sponge, and in my experience it gets mostly dry within 12 hours. I haven't experienced any tears or other problems in the month+ I've been using it. I really recommend this product if you're looking for a good sponge to use at an affordable price! It makes me want to get back into liquid foundations again!

Another great product from Real Techniques! Have you tried the Miracle Complexion Sponge and/or the Beautyblender? I'm curious to see which performs better!

You can purchase the Miracle Complexion Sponge online at Farleyco, or in-store at London Drugs, select Lawtons, and select Pharmasave.
