Captain Jean-Luc Picard is my favourite starship captain, and One Hand Washes the Other (OHWTO) is one of my favourite perfumeries, and when combined their greatness reaches the final frontier. I promise that will be the only Star Trek-related pun in this post.
I wanted a space-y scent, which led to discussing Captain Picard and his penchant for Earl Grey tea, and thus Becca of OHWTO created Make it So (or should I say... she made it so? [hides]).
NOTES: Black Ceylon tea and Bergamot, Skin musk, Mandarin, Neroli, Orris, and a hint of Ozone
Originally in the Spring/Summer release, Make it So is the epitome of a cup of Earl Grey when it hits my skin. Occasionally it opens on a more citrus-y note, but most often I get Black Ceylon tea, bergamot, and a hint of the citrus. After a few minutes, it kind of mellows out -- the scent of Earl Grey is still there, but subtler and smoother in a way. I get around four hours of wear, which is about the average for perfume oils on me.
Despite being a Spring/Summer release, I think this is a great scent for the colder months, though perhaps that's because I associate tea with chilly fall/winter days. I can just picture myself wearing this wrapped up in a nice blanket, and perhaps sipping an actual cup of tea. I would classify this as a unisex scent.
Make it So will be re-released in the OHWTO Etsy shop in the next day or two -- I will update this post when it's available!
Ae you fellow Northern Hemispherers ready for fall? I think it's my favourite time for scents!
