I have to hand it to Winners -- sometimes you can really find, well, a winner there. For those who don't know, Winners is a Canadian store that sells discounted beauty products, clothing, toys, housewares, etc. I believe they are the same company as the US's TJMaxx. Every time I'm in the mall, I have to go in there to see what new things are in the beauty section, as sometimes high-end products can be found there for much less!
That's how I found Korres Guava Shower Gel (400mL) for $8.99 CAD. Regular retail price is $22 CAD/$19.50 USD (Sephora, Shoppers Drug Mart), so it was a steal! I also spotted the Guava Body Butter and some makeup items, but most of them had been mangled by inconsiderate shoppers. (Seriously, why do people have to break into the makeup at Winners? Far too often I've come across a gem that was ripped open and put back by someone... ugh.) I decided to pass on the body butter and pick this up, as I have far too much of the latter in other brands, but shower gel is always welcome.
I've never actually tried a product by Korres before, so I was curious to see if their shower gel could be worth $22. Here are its claims, according to Sephora:
These beautifully scented, creamy showergels provide a moisturizing effect and help maintain the natural moisture level of the skin. They contain emollients and humectants that provide a lasting moisturizing effect and help to maintain the natural moisture level of the skin.
The bottle contains a handy list of formula facts:

The scent is a very pleasant and tropical, which is something I love in the cooler months. If I can't go to the beach and enjoy the sun, I can at least pretend to in the shower, right? It works up to a nice lather does its job cleaning. The best part is it doesn't dry out my skin, and indeed does add a layer of moisture (so, so important this time of year!) The scent lingers for a few hours afterwards, close to the skin so it shouldn't interfere with other scents you plan to wear.
Something I really like is that there's an expiration date printed on the bottle. It's hard to tell sometimes how old products are at Winners or other discount stores, so this is very helpful (not to mention I'm sure a lot of us stockpile essentials and then forgot when they were bought!)
Would I recommend this? Well, yes and no. I do think the retail price is rather hefty for a shower gel. While I do think it's a good formula, it doesn't stand out from what I need, which is basically something that will cleanse my skin without drying it out. I would buy it again for $8.99 though. Still, I would recommend checking it out if you are looking for a formula like this, if you're veg*n, looking for products not tested on animals, and/or if you're already a fan of Korres products.
