One Hand Washes the Other Lip Butter Review, Photos

Oooh. Hello! I had a wonderful time in Toronto -- well, I guess that was a few weeks ago now. I went to the Royal Ontario Museum, and I'm going to start researching further into Ancient-era cosmetics, as there were a few displays of trinkets, mirrors, perfume bottles, accessories, etc. that I found really interesting. I also visited my very first Sephora and MAC display (we don't have any locations in my province) and made a couple purchases there, review coming soon! But onto more exciting things, namely, a review of a product by one of my favourite indie sellers!

One Hand Washes the Other's Lip Butter* is a dream. Chock-full of nourishing oils (all plant-sourced; vegans rejoice!) it is a treat for lips that need a balm that goes the extra mile. I was actually not a huge fan of it when I first tried it -- I was used to the beeswax-based formula of Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm; however, I reached for the Lip Butter when I came down with a bad cold. The "oh-god-my-nose-is-so-stuffed-I-can-only-breathe-through-my-mouth" type, which would invariably leave me with dry, chapped lips. Enter the power of Lip Butter! My lips were the only thing that felt good during that period, and by good I mean I was was left wishing I had had this product a looong time ago.

As I mentioned, I had been used to beeswax-based lip balms before. The Lip Butter has a slicker, softer texture but is by no means greasy or mushy. I chose the flavour strawberry, which is nice and not artificial-tasting. It also comes in other flavours and only costs $3.25 USD. If you are looking for a lip balm that can weather any storm (or at least make dry lips supple), is vegan, cruelty-free, and handmade, I can't recommend OHWTO's Lip Butter highly enough.

Ingredients: shea butter, cocoa butter, candelilla wax, hemp seed oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, coconut oil, olive squalane, meadowfoam seed oil, castor oil, vitamin e, flavoring

*Mine is all dressed up in OHWTO's Halloween label; design may vary.

Item purchased myself. All opinions are my own.
